Geocaching is world-wide hobby that uses gps technology to send people on a treasure hunt. Winkler has several geocaches listed on the geocaching website.
 
The Winkler Aquatic Centre at 600 Park Street is an outdoor pool open from late May to early September. It has two speed slides, a large twisty slide, hot tub, diving boards, spray park and zero entry area. For information phone (204) 325-8212.
 
Gemstone Park is Winkler's newest green space featuring not only a playground, but also the first arboretum in the city. An arboretum is a collection of trees planted for educational purposes. The Gemstone Park arboretum has 15 varieties of trees native to the prairies; each tree has a small sign at its base that explains its origins, uses and offers interesting facts. The park is located north of Highway 14.
 
Lake Minnewasta, just west of Morden is a small beach on a man-made lake that offers many recreational opportunities for families, plus Morden's spray park is another great place to cool off on a summer day.
