Curbside Giveaway Weekend

The 2026 Curbside Giveaway Weekend will take place on September 11-12.

During Curbside Giveaway Weekend, City of Winkler residents are invited to place gently used items, labeled FREE, at the curb for other residents and community members to browse and take for their own use, free of charge.

This is a great opportunity to declutter and find a new home for items you no longer use, or an opportunity to find something you may want/need for free.

Put your items out at the curb by 8 a.m. Friday (Sept. 11) morning; anything remaining or not picked up must be brought back inside by dusk on Saturday (Sept. 12).

Helpful Tips:

  • Place items that are in reusable condition at the curb.
  • Be sure to clearly label items as "FREE".
  • Store away any items you don't want to give away.
  • Do not take items if they are not labeled "FREE".
  • Please clean up any leftover items by dusk Saturday evening.
  • Take a picture of your items and post them on the Curbside Giveaway Weekend event page on Facebook for the community to find.
  • Share your offerings and great finds using #winklercurbside.
  • Check items for Bed Bugs before putting them in your vehicle or bringing them home.
  • Be respectful on other people's property.
  • Be safe and obey all traffic laws.
  • Watch out for children.
